Hey all! I have gathered that the clutch and brakes share a common fluid res. am I correct in this? If so then I have a question or two. Since I put this vanagon on the road , about 2500 miles ago I have had to pump the brakes one time to get the pedal hard. ( well I don't have to , but it was halfway down before it got hard , so I pumped it once) I haven't been the primary driver of my pride and joy. However, last night I happened to take "milton" for a spin. I was shocked, the clutch was almost on the floor! How do you adjust this silly thing? I looked in the Bently and it looks as though all you can do is "pressure bleed" the system. OK, if this needs to be done then , do I need to do the brakes too? Or is there something else to try first? ( the clutch used to be closer to the top) Where it belongs. |
