In a message dated 99-10-14 11:36:18 EDT, you write: > We own a Vanagon, which is a VAN. GM-- Let's keep the list civilised. Please don't use the three-letter "V" word. >It is nothing like our > previous Busses in handling, build, or personality. And if I may differ: Felicia, Raquel, Perrin, and Tania. None were like the "previous in handling, build, or personality." Yet all were women. God, I miss them. I don't know about yours, but my 83.5 Bus has a badge that boasts "MICROBUS" right on the rear door. And all the older busses in the world ain't gonna dissolve that South African adhesive. For my money it has to do with the driver sitting over the front wheels and the engine in the rear. Just like the New York City Transit busses--water-cooled, boxy, but definately not a V - -. Anyone can drive a van. All in good fun, Jeff 83.5 Westy NYC |
