I've worked with a number of engineer types at the university I teach and they essentially say the same thing. Modern dino oils are of a very high quality. Change them regularly and you should be fine and save a lot of money. Having said that.... I use Mobil 1 for one reason only. In northern Wisconsin the cars start hard at 30 below and with Mobil 1 the start ups are smooth and easy. If I lived farther south I'd go back to some good old Kendal.
