Mark,

Get the 7mm high-pressure fuel line from VanAgain or the Bus Depot, along with the correct stainless steel clamps. I replaced the part you're talking about with the 7mm line by slipping it over the hard plastic line that comes from the fuel pump.

There are a few tricks to make this easier. First of all, there's a plastic piece that holds the plastic fuel line onto the body that you can reach from the right rear wheelwell; carefully jiggle it out so the line can be moved. Next unscrew the double-nippled flange on the back of the engine compartment and pull the fuel line into the engine compartment where you can work on it better.

If you haven't already depressurized the fuel system, do so now. On a Digifant, you can just unplug the fuel pump relay inside the black box on the left of the engine compartment (it's the right of the two relays). On a Digijet, unplug the ground wire to the fuel pump. Then run the engine until it dies of fuel starvation (only a few seconds). Start it one more time and let it die.

Now the fuel line can be removed from the plastic line and replaced. I'd slip some extra fuel line over it, i.e. more than was there before, and clamp it. Mine wasn't clamped originally.

Reattach the flange and the plastic piece that holds the line up.

While you're at it, replace all the lines in the engine compartment because they're probably the same vintage as that one.
