Sew a pocket along the entire edge of the tarp large enough to accommodate 1/2" aluminum tent pole (or copper pipe). Purchase four sections of tent pole (or copper pipe) and insert into the pocket. Use C clamps at the rear, and between the passenger door and the sliding door. (you have to make a small incision to pass the arm of the c-clamp through to do this). Pad the heads of the C-clamps with Duct tape.

Withstands fair breezes it the tarp is well-supported.

Can anyone recommend a cheap, non-damaging way to attach a tarp to the Vanagon drip rail, in order to make a cheap awning? I have in mind some sort of little C clamps or spring clamps. Thanks,

Ken
