I got a problem: On our 87 Syncro, yesterday I was under it pulling the exhaust off to replace it with a new Bus Depot replacement, and I found that the right side head gasket was a leaker - big time. Now I knew I had a leak somewhere, but I just kept putting in fluid. It hadn't been real obvious as to where it was coming from - but now I know. (Your probably thinking: didn't he see it on the drive way or in the garage? Well, I have P-rock for both driveway and garage.) I pulled the head off, but one of the cylinder sleeves came with it though I did get them to separate ok. The head is in fair shape, that is, the chambers are fine with no pitting; the valves look fine; the face isn't too pitted or chewed away. But I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered another head (trying to save a little time because of HosČ). this fellow used to be on the list and would like some advice/answers ... if you just reply-to, it'll go to him (not me). or you can mail him direct at macpine@earthlink.net. joel ------------------ I got two questions: 1.) how and with what do you use to reinstall the cylinder sleeve over the piston/rings while working in such a small area? 2.) do you know where I can find and purchase a Used but good condition rocker arm or assembly as it looks like #1's intake was wearing badly on the tappet end?

So if you would maybe post this for me and have them respond private and to the List (so others could benefit as well) that would be great. Thanks In Advance!
