a battery charger that you plug in the lighter " did " exist ... I have one but never it used very much. I just came back to good alcaline batteries that last longer. the charger was made by tandy radio shack, cat. no, 23-139. But as a light, I am using the smallest that I could find on the market butane or propane. It seems that butane is not very popular in the usa, but elsewhere it is...you have to get to know where they sell it . for backpacking etc it is much lighter and cleaner fuel that propane... but I do not want to start a discussion...better stick to coleman...have a nice trip. wished i were there.
