I just received my 8'2" Catalina 2500 Awning from Camping world along with the van adapter kit and am going to install it today.

Has anyone tried installing their 2500 awnings installing the bottom mounting brackets so the awning can be used in both the patio and the cantilever position?

What are the pros and cons other than the obvious con of drilling 4 holes into the side of the body?

Thanks much in advance.

Ralph
