Certainly, the harness may help if the problem is noise coming from the afm.

Many of us have resolved the actual AFM problem much more simply, and inexpensively.

We basically cleaned the afm internals with an aerosol electronic spray cleaner.

Carefully remove the siliconed-on AFM lid. You may have to cut the seal with a utility knife. Remove all remaining traces of seal - so it will close properly again without the old mucked-up seal getting in the way.

Spray said cleaner in the afm, moving wiper a couple of times. Let dry. LET DRY . Keep fingers and dust etc from getting on the electrical points of contact.

Replace lid and tape down.

Works really well, and will solve problems for many afms - my opinion is that if it doesn't work - your afm is too far gone anyways, and the harness fix wouldn't work for you.

Said cleaner is available at any flaps - just make sure is is electronic spray cleaner - not electrical cleaner. You want a highly volatile cleaner that evaporates really quickly.
