Robert: I think its great that you are considering a way to share your engine/suspension ideas with others without charging for more than your material expenses. That said, I also believe that a dyno test is called for so that your engine improvements can be measured instead of "claimed". If I remember correctly, you originally stated that your horsepower gains were

(gu)estimated. Unless/until you quantify your work, it and your CD-ROM will be BS to some, and more entertainment than education to others. While I don't necessarily dis-belive your claims, I do want to see more facts (HP and torque at various RPM's like in car magazine articles). I don't know what dyno time cost. Maybe you can charge more for your CD-ROM to offset that expense.

It would include pictures, diagrams, instructions, parts list, source list, possible audio, on how I built my engine. It would not be overtly "technical" in the since that I am not going to try to replace Bently as a guide but detail what and why I made the changes that I did plus try to clarify Bently in some places. I will also include the problems I have ran into and how I resolved them.

I also will include my suspension modifications: springs, sway bars, tires, rims etc.

The reason for the CD-ROM is that I have a lot of pictures (more still to

take) and to email them would take a lot of time per request. And the picture size on the Internet would make it hard to see details.

Each picture would be @ 1 to 2 meg for a good sized picture to see details. 40 to 50+ pics would be a lot of time for downloads

I have already had a request for one from someone that saw the article about my Vanagon in Hot VWs magazine.

Let me know if there would be some interest in the CD-ROM. (There would be a some cost to cover the materials used.)

Robert
