        Last night my wife complained our 85 was running poorly. I went
outside to move it closer to the garage and it would not start. Found an
intermittent connection at the coolant Temp sensor. I started T/Sing
expecting the sensor itself had failed(classic symptoms).
        I started by removing the connector from the ECU and reading the
resistance across pins two and seven (digijet only). Next I compared that
figure to the graph in the Bentley. The problem was obvious then.
        Every time I have the engine lid open I manually open and close
the throttle valve and listen for the clicking of the idle position
switch.
