Yep, you read the subject and also the problem. A little explanation is needed. When the knob for the front diff lock is pulled, and the lock has not engaged yet, the light is supposed to blink. This is to warn the driver that the knob is pulled, 'cause when the lock locks, the steering dies, the steering cannot be turned, and the van can only go straight forward. The problem appeared after I un-stuck the stuck rod for the lock. The light blinked when I serviced the unit, but I have later seen that it does not blink. Yes, the light lights when the lock engages, so its not the bulb either. The only thing I can think of, is that the light for the rear lock is dead too. I think it's the bulb, but I haven't replaced it yet. Any pointers? PerL 87 Syncro 112i |
