Hi all I live in Edmonton, Canada and it is about to get REAL cold again here. I have been plugging the van in during the winters, trusting that VW Engineering had done right in designing the heater. Anyway, I wonder what all the cold climate drivers do to protect the engine from the extreme cold. Is there a "real" block-heater or a circulating water heater that one could install? Perhaps near the thermostat so it opens? Thanks to all the people who helped me make a decision as to what oil filter to use. From now on I will use the Mann/Mahle filters for the vanagon. Thanks for any replies Alfred 85 Westy |
