I recently had my radiator flushed and filled at a VW shop. Now that it is turning cold, I have tried the rear heater in my '85 westy for the first time since purchasing it. When I turn it out it blows out a kind of sickly sweet odor that I think smells like antifreeze. It will kind of go away if I let it run, but I don't really want to do that - I'd become a driving hazard! I haven't noticed any coolant leaks when it is parked. Is that normal? What else is coming from the rear heater (CO, etc.)? Thanks in advance, Brian '85 Westy |
