You only have that one spare, and no other tools than what > your Syncro came with from the factory. I don't know off the top of my head what the difference in diameter is between your normal tires and your spare. But you could probably adjust effective diameters by airing the spare or the other tires down accordingly. Or you could simply ignore the tire differences, because it's only twenty miles, because you're only creeping anyway, and because on soft terrain the tires will slip rather than the viscous coupling go bad. But then: what the heck are you doing in the woods, twenty miles away from any reasonable road in a Syncro WITHOUT ANY TOOLS? After all, that's what I need my Vanagon for: to carry all the tools I need because I'm driving a Vanagon :-) Sincerely Rainer '89 Caravelle GL Syncro 16" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- | Rainer M Woitok | Phone: (+49-9131) 85-27811,-27031 | | Regionales Rechenzentrum | | | Friedrich-Alexander-Universitaet | Fax : (+49-9131) 30 29 41 | | Martens-Strasse 1 | Telex: d 629 755 tf erl | | D-91058 Erlangen | | | Germany | Mail: Woitok@RRZE.Uni-Erlangen.DE | ---------------------------------------------------------------------- |
