Okay electrical techs... I got set up with a VDO DUAL CONTACT Oil Pressure Sender and VDO oil pressure gauge. On of the contacts on the dual sender is to be connected to the new VDO gauge... the other contact is supposed to be connected to the existing wire that goes to the existing stock idiot light.... But I have read some stuff on the list about .3 bar and I am wondering if the .5 bar is (a) the correct sender and (b) will the .5 bar dual sender make the idiot light (and buzzer) come on at the same pressure point(s) as the existing sender? Or does using the .5 bar dual sender change the calibration? All answers welcome, Thanks Bill 90 Westy Syncro |
