Hi, The last few oil changes, I made a new washer out of the cardboard box that the oil filter comes in. It seals very well, is free, and only takes a minute to make. Stripped Oil Drain Plug... this reminds me - what sort of bloody washer is *supposed* to be on the WB engine? I have been unsuccessful finding anything at my FLAPS that will fit. As a result, I have re-used the nylon washer that was on there four times! (Yes, it does leak) Is it 15mm? Why don't the three FLAPS that I have checked carry anything that fits? So, is it a bad idea to use a copper washer? |
