Listees: I am looking for guidance as to the approximate core values of a 1985 1.9 engine (low oil pressure, no leaks) and 4 spd transmission (won't shift into 1st or 2nd gear). I talked to a CA transmission rebuilder once and was told their shop charged a $400 core "but only if the ring and pinion were bad". Does this mean that only those two parts are worth salvage and the case and everything else are worthless? Removing only valuable parts (assuming I can do so) would make it easier to ship to a prospective buyer. Obviously, shipping costs are a factor in determining total value. Your opinions are appreciated! Cary ____________________________________________________________________ Get free email and a permanent address at http://www.netaddress.com/?N=1 |
