Its called Spiralmax. Read about at their website (spiralmax.com, I think it is. However, I just tried to connect but keep getting timed out, so now I'm not sure of url). Is a metal insert fitted just before the throttle body, acting as a vortex/velocity stack for air intake. Supposedly improves air/fuel mixture & noticably improves horsepower. I'm no engineer and not all that mechanically inclined, but looking at the twists and turns of the intake manifold, I don't quite see how adding this at the throttle body can make all that much difference once the air gets to the injectors. Can anyone explain? I know their is one list member with van 'vinnie' whose got one fitted on his van and claims positive results. -----Original Message----- From: Per Lindgren <lindgre@ONLINE.NO> To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Date: Tuesday, October 26, 1999 3:19 AM Subject: Re: Lead on a Chassis Dynometer located in Raleigh, NC.
