Fun things - the engine will cut out (for anywhere from parts of a second to multiple seconds) and might appear to buck (as the ECU starts delivering both fuel and spark, you'll get a short surge of power). The tell tale sign of this problem is that the tach drops while the engine is still spinning, well that and the wiggly elbow on the distro...
