Subject: '88 Westy 2.0L 4 sale (SEATTLE)
Content-Type: text/plain

So here it is. After installing the '98 2.0L Jetta motor last spring, driving cross-country this summer, and rebuilding the tranny this fall, I'm now selling the best vehicle I've ever driven.

Specs: '88 westy - Burgundy - '98 2.0L went in with app. 6,000 miles on it. - I've put nearly 6,000 miles on the conversion since. - New tranny, including ring/pinion and Custom .77 4th gear. Thanks to Daryl of AA Transaxle and Ivan of TNT, Seattle. - New PS pump, now 1 month old.

I've tried to price it according to the Seattle market, where vans are valued nearly as much as sunny days, giving the new engine/new transmission combination some serious weight. Unfortunately I'm afraid that only a current/former van owner will appreciate the power of the 2.0L and the fact that it won't need new head-gaskets at Christmas time = $15,500 obo. Well, that's enough. It's painful to now push the send button. PMail & phone calls only please. Thanks folks, it's been great.
