Alan..I had this part fail on me a few months ago and had lots of agro at the VW dealer trying to locate one. Then to my great joy I found that a nearby FLAPS could make me one out of flexible copper hydraulic pipe for 5 UK quid inc. new ends. It then transpired that all the commercial repair garages in my area use this place for brake and clutch pipes. I only wish I had found the shop before I bought the main front to back pipe from VW at great expense. So call a local garage who do repair work on light commercial vans to find out where they get thair hydraulic pipes made up.

NB. Take care of the rubber flexi pipe when working around it because that part is definately VW only. Been there!

Martin

>To my dismay I have found that VW does not carry the metal pipe that goes between the clutch slave cylinder and the flexible hose. (I broke mine taking it off - not suprizing after 16 years of service). If anyone has a used part or knows where I can find a Vanagon Diesel from which I can purchase this part please let me know. Any other ideas of how I can get my van back on the road without having to get this part from europe will be appreciated.
