<<Howdy,

I need tires all around for my 1986 2 wheel drive Westy. I called my local (Berkeley) Big O Tires and they told me the recommended Yoko tire is the LT/185/14. Does this sound correct? Some previous messages on the list recommend LT-195/14. So, which is it, the 185 or the 195? Is there a difference. BTW, he's asking $350 out the door for a set of four. Your comments would be much appreciated. Will probably have new KYB shocks installed as well.

Best regards, Marty

Marty, Depends on which Yokohama tire they are trying to sell you. If it's the Y370, then this should be available in the 195/14, which I have on my bus and really like.

There is also a Y356 tire that is not as aggressive and I didn't have the best luck with my set, as they lost traction after about 20,000 miles.
