Those heater cores are notorious for leaks, and if that is the original you are way overdue for a new one. If you don't want the heat or to spend the money, remove the hoses and connect them together with a piece of copper pipe and clamps to bypass the heater.

Check you junk yard or the one of the list vendors for a replacement.
