Subject: Have you had Fan Belt wear against the oil filler tube?

Have any of you Syncronauts experienced Power steering belt wear against the oil filler tube! I have tried to move the oil tube, but it seems to be very fixed, and up against the sheet metal below it! Well actually there is about 1/4 to 1/2" clearance below it and it could be forced down, but that would put stress on the pipe and its connection to the engine??!! Not only does it wear the fan belt, but also the oil tube and hose clamp! There seems to be some clearance when the engine is off, but the vibrations while driving must force the tube into the belt??!!

PS (see attached pic!)- Note I tried to send out a JPG image of this but I guess the mailing list cant handle it, too bad! It'd be very helpful to be able to send pics of VW parts & problems!)

Sorry about the previous duplicate, I forgot to fill in the subject!
