Hello Robert!

Just to start the wheel turning on rebuild of my 2.1L, I called Gene Berg Associates to inquire about a counter balanced crankshaft and get a quote on balancing the crank, rod, and piston assemblies and they basically told me they don't and wouldn't do any work except on aircooled engines, period. I was surprised since they did your balancing work.

They did tell me they would custom grind/mill a counter balanced crank from a stock blank for $1595. For that kind of custom work, that's probably not unreasonable, but I would think one could be found at a lesser price already built.

So, any suggestions as to where to acquire a high quality counter balanced crank for the 2.1 L , and where to have the rotating assemblies balanced?

Thanks,

John Rodgers
