I'm not so sure that you have to take the dash apart here. I agree that the hour pin might be stuck, but just push it in again and wiggle it so that it will pop all the way out (thereby releasing itself). I'd try this first!!, if this fails, see the FAQ (or whatever) at vanagon.com for the clock replacement procedure. Malcolm S
