I was on a Taiwanese ship for a few weeks and every ventilation duct that you would open you would find stashes of cokes and various bottles of liquor. Leave up to some sailor to adapt this over to VWs. So when I went back to riding US ships I brought this idea with me. Being that the US Navy is a dry (no alcohol onboard) fleet, it was nice to have a cold one everyonce and while instead of once every three months.
