I ran a set of the Bosch tri electrodes in my '85 for just over 100,000 miles. The electrode was worn down to a nubbin, but the sucker kept running, and running well. 19-20 mpg and good power. Passed emissions easily. replaced with the same plugs, and no noticeable improvement in drivability or economy.

Why did I run these plugs so long? Duhh, I forgot to change them?
