I have an 87 westfalia that just died its last death! The VW dealer says it needs a new windshield, new rubber weather stripping around the pop top, a new radio (maybe just an antenna), some repair to the dent on the drivers side midpanel, new hoses from radiator to engine, a new rack and pinion unit, and it really needs a good detailing inside and out. Oh, and it needs a new engine, too. How's the tranny? Honestly? I don't know. So, with 155,000 California miles on it, and all the above problems, should I sell it in the paper? Trade it in for a new "car"? Or turn it in to one of the "give us your old car (any condition)" charities? If I sell it in the paper, what should I ask for it? Thanks (I'd fix it, but I don't have the skills or knowledge), Bryan |
