Anthony; Go for it, what do you have to lose. I use Permatex Super Gray RTV Sealant. Any FLAPS should carry it. It is designed for high torque situations. I HAD to RE-torque the very same nut on my wife's (85 GL) engine last week. I used Super Gray when I rebuilt it and it held up to the re-torque without leaking.
