Being relatively new to Vanagons I wanted to ask everyone's advice on
"converting" my '82 (unnamed) to a "Westy" using a spare pop-top I have
located.  I have not done much research on this, but would appreciate any
input.  A friend of mine has a complete top he will part with for $300.  I
need to know the following:


1 - How much of an investment will it be beyond the $300 to get it installed
correctly and soundly.


2 - Assuming the pop-top's are somewhat year specific ( I do not know if they
are) which ones will wiork with my '82 (in case he sells his before I make a
decision).
