Just a curiosity...Our fridge has not been out/cleaned since 1982 (factory).

It lights on the first try without any pumping. Further, I only have to hold the button in for a couple of seconds. Once the green light comes on, I'm done. It stays lit, unless it is chilly out and condesate drips back into the burner during the first few minutes. Once the exhaust stack is toasty warm, it will re-light by just holding the button in for a second and pushing the clicker. I'd be kinda suspect of the cleanliness of the orifice in fridges where you are having to do a mystical dance while whispering a secret incantation to light.

Thanks guys. Experience pays off. I gave the little pump about 50 strokes and she lit the first try. I was getting frustrated. I knew it worked for the PO last year. No where in the Dometic manual does it mention that much pumping.
