While this sounds good, I must point out that the treadwear rating is relative ONLY to the SAME manufacturer's other tire lines. Considering that none of the Michelins I've had over the last 40+ years of driving have exhibited fast wear, a 280 rating for the MXT would be excellent!

Anecdotal comparison: Factory supplied Michelins on my '73 VW Camper had about 1/3 the tread left after 75000 road miles... MXLs on our earlier Vanagons were pretty well worn by 45K miles...
