Hello Eric and fellow listers,

I am not familiar with your company or products.

I am associated with the Flight Systems division of the Astronautics company within Lockheed Martin. We are the group who is involved in interplanetary exploration (primarily Mars). The spacecraft whose life ended two weeks ago by crashing into Mars was one of ours.

The group which actually builds the instruments on our spacecraft would use such as those your company provides. The lab I manage is a two-part arrangement, software development and simulations; In the software development environment we have programmers who develop the software which makes the spacecraft and science work. The simulations area runs a computer model of the spacecraft; we run the software we develop against the simulation as software validation.

Regards, Jon
