Subject: Seam Rust Observation
Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

As previously reported, last month I took EVERYTHING out of the interior of my 91 Syncro Westy and took the empty shell van to a Krown Rust Inhibitor place to have the body sprayed inside and out with their 'special' (snake?) anti-rust oil.

It has been over a month now and the oil is still weeping out of the body seams - from the inside of the van to the outside. the oil is even wicking UP the seams from places where the oil has puddled inside the panels. The weeping oil is especially noticeable when the van is a bit dirty.

Just thought I'd pass this on to the list as it is no wonder why the seams rust, and that this oil is really getting to all of the places where it 'should' in order to prolong the life of the van.

Malcolm S 91 Syncro Westy, Halifax Nova Scotia.
