It shouldn't be a water leaker, as it uses the Golf motor, which is apparently quiet a bit more reliable than the wasserboxer. The real folks to ask "what to look for in a bus" would be the type 2 list, as they drive these things all the time. Any difficulty bringing that thing stateside? G.
