Upper control arm bushings, squeaks are as common as leaking heads after about 150,000 miles. Maybe it is time to mention this repair on Vanagon.com. Coyote? I just replaced mine this weekend. The job is easy if you have a press, MIG welder, and a grinder like I do, but even if you don't have these tools it is easy to remove the upper control arm and take it to a machine shop for the work. BusDepot.com has the bushings for about $120 with shipping, and that is a good price. You will need to have the front end aligned after you do the job. It is sooooo nice to have a quiet van again! -- Stuart MacMillan Manager, Case Program 800-909-8244 ext 208 Getting your share of the Net yet? http://www.cobaltgroup.com http://www.casedealer.com/demo http://www.caseihdealer.com/demo |
