I have to jump in here.
As some of you know I have been associated with the sales department of RV
dealerships for 10 years now. This the Vehicle sales department not the
parts/accessories department, but having customers all over the country, who
when the parts department fails them they want to speak to the sales manager,
the grief does end up on my desk. Now I've said all that to say this:
Ron and his folks at the BD do an excellent job. I've been buying parts from Ron
for some years now, and let me share with you that for the past couple of years
he is the first call I make. And that is because:
On one order I ended up with part of my order and part of who knows who's order
(I had lighters, and socks and all kinds of stuff, but not the parts I ordred,
remember Ron?), anyway I called him, and his answere was simple, "I'll resend
the order out today, and I'll go after UPS." Not many would have said that. None
of the Large RV dealerships that I have worked with would have said it, and they
could have afforded it aot more than Ron.
and: I needed a clutch once in a hurry, and I got it the next day.
and: I could go on some more, but I think you get the idea. Ron's organization
is first class. It is a great asset to this community, through which we get the
parts we need to keep our Vanagon's on the road, at a price and service that
VWOA cannot or will not duplicate. I'm telling you this from my heart and from
my experience, and I would not say it if I did not believe it. Is he perfect?
no, but I don't know anyone who is, The BD comes closer than any other I've seen
though. I am truely impressed by a guy who six months later "remembers" (I don't
mean looks it up, I mean remembers) that I had a credit from a previous order.
If you need something fast tell him. He'll do his best, and most often that will
work just great for you.
If you don't need it fast, tell him too, and let someone who does need it get
the special service.
Keep up the good work, Ron. I appreciate it
