Subject: push rod tubes
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

The expandable push rod tubes from a dealer for $40? I paid a local VW shop ( small shop with a $2million inventory, so he says) $50 for 1 tube and the dealer wanted another $15 for the same tube! I took it back when I saw they were cheaper from BD, I then ordered a set of 8 from Ron. I ended up not needing them after all (YET). I changed my oil and it quit leaking, or ah marking it's territory. This was shortly after I bought it ,and while still working on it that I noticed the leak. (I bought it non-running). Anyway I guess it likes my oil better than the P.O's choice? Or , maybe it's the "German magic" in the mann filters, who knows? I think I will just hold on to them...you never know...BTW I almost got a guy to trade me his '92 Cabby for my '84 Vanagon last weekend, but I had to be honest with him and ended up telling him I only paid $600 for the Vanagon and he had paid $5200 for his cabby, I thought it was a fair trade and so did he at first. Shucks I already have my next van picked out I spotted it about a month ago when a man had his barn door opened I saw it hiding in the back. At 60mph. I still think it was a "loaf" of some kind (Westy?)
