Thanks all for the info on the lifters!


It looks like my poor oil quality has caused the problem.


1.. Fix drain plug, flush
2.. run ATF and oil for a few min to clean out the mess
3.. run oil for maybe 2 days and then change again (I do use the Mann
filters too)
4.. see if the lifter settles down
5.. if not, then I'll go in to the motor w/ the collapsible tubes and
replace lifters




I tried the archives the other day to no avail on the drain plug. So I tried
again today. Lots of info in there on the lifters. Thanks again all for the
quick help!!!


PS I ordered a tantalum cap for the AFM too.
