A quick recap since I dont know how closley you have followed this thread.

I tried placing my order online last Thursday afternoon, had problems with their ecommerce server, manually sent them the order, and didnt hear back from them. I reported the errors to Ron and worked with his service provider to give them addidional information as to the circumstances of the errors. I suppose that yes, I may have jumped quickly, however I do not believe I have lambasted them. I thought for certain I would have received a message back saying, we understood you had problems, but we received the copy of what you were trying to order and are processing it accordingly". My primary concern was that if they did actually process my order, funds would be available to pay for it in my account.

Everybody deserves a common basic level of "world class service". In my case, I may not have properly managed my expectations.

Regarding the remainder of your 'comments'. I am a road warrior. I travel full time, in this case my office had me assisting their team at a trade conference/user group meeting. I dont gamble, I figure I have better odds of finding a stock Synchro Vanagon TDI thats US Legal then winning any games. And when I do get to go home (whenever whatever and wherever home may be), I like to do things for myself. Tinkering, remeding, and enhancing are top items on my lists along with a few other hobies.

Regarding 'bitching from my hotel room in Ct about the parts not being at my doorstep in Arizona'. I figured that given a 7-10 day lead time, the parts would be at my door in Az this coming Friday or Monday (the 5th or 8th of November--when I was home).

Finally, about 10 years ago I started and operated, and 5 years later, sold a consulting company. We had 22 of us and about 350 clients. I had service level agreements with my clients where if we did not perform, we had severe financial penaltys. It was always our practice that all calls would be returned by the end of the business day, of course we now have faxes and email to contend with, but our SLA's required us to at least respond to people the same day they called, we may not have had the answers for them, but at least we let them know that we heard from them and that we know they exist. I think Ron knew I existed, but I fell through the cracks in the remainder of his sales processes. If you had seen my previous messages, I stated that I had seen his previous posts about staffing and trying to fill the holes, and bear with us, then a couple of days later, another one (I believe) saying that things were back in order? I also typed that this seemed atypical for them and was wondering if anyone else knew anything. I had seen other posts from Ron to people on the list, but had not heard anything from him to me about where things sat.

I will leave everyone to draw their own conclusions. If you reading this think i'm a bad person, then of course you will take everything I type with a grain of salt and probably put me on your kill lists. Thats fine. My appologies to Ron for beating up on him and his company. Appologies to the rest of the list for taking up bandwidth and anything that they may have taken offense to. If you would like to discuss this further, lets take this private.

Regards/David Christensen
