I am thinking about just buying a tv card for my laptop and running it off my cheap inverter ... little power consumption. Have an old ac/dc recorder/player. These units are heavy and were in two pieces - a tuner and a recorder. Should be cheap at rummage sales. Will cost a bit more than a tv-vcr but take up little space and allow for a computer along as well. Just need the satellite internet link and will be in business!
