I recall pretty clearly that the place he purchased them through (a name which I don't recall, from the back of some mag like VWTrends) sold them "For Vanagon or Scirroco", and the VW dealer was able to cross reference the part numbers. Sorry, Bulley!

The H4 units (the outer, bigger high/low units) are not the same ones on the Scirocco and the Vanagon. Only the H3 units (the inner high beams) are the same. The square unit is a Vanagon only part, not used on any other VW. That's why they are so expensive :-(
