Actually pin holes in the push rod tubes is pretty common (at least here in the salt belt). That is why I recommend replacing all the push rod tubes when doing head gaskets rather than having leaks down the road and replacing the tubes with the expanable type that are twice as expensive and make you have to remove your rocker arm assembly once again. Do it once and do it right! PS Visual inspection is not enough on used tubes as they usually leak between the accordian folds where you can't see the holes anyway.
