The 16" Syncros never came with ABS. And with the 14" ... if you want to shut the ABS off off road, just install a switch in line with the ABS fuse. But then never forget to enable ABS again when on the road. Maybe, rather than just a switch you should install a self holding relay which is deactivated with the ignition off and which when activated disables the ABS circuit ... just a thought.
