Hi Jay, I have used permatex 3h sealant, it may be h3 not positive. It is used on aircraft engines and for vw air cooled vw engines for years. I used it 3 ago during an 86 rebuild, no problems. I used it on the case split and on the head nuts. Most any flaps will have this mixed in with their other permatex items. Best of luck with your quest. The stuff bentley / vw recommends for head nuts is yellow, it seems to work ok to. Darrell Boehler Makanda Illinois
