The way to compensate is to figure out the equivalent Circumference of the 15 inch tire. One equality would be a 215R60/15 tire. This works almost perfectly for a 195R78/14 tire. Another equivalent tire is a 205R65/15 tire. These are both within 2 0r 3% of original Circumference. I have a set of 15" Chromed Steel wheels off my Toyota PU with the same stud pattern as the vanagon. I know the offset is wrong, it is to the outside. What are the ramifications of using this wheel on my VW? tim
