Why shift manually when the vehicle can do it automatically? I dont see the point. You can still use the gears with an automatic - just shift to a different drive ratio. Power in my '87 Wolfsburg is more than adequate and mileage around the same as any other Vanagon. I hear the automatic is also more trouble-free. To find the genuine mileage of any VW vehicle, trace (and contact) the previous owners. |
