Is your syncro 16 as low geared as mine........... the gear ratio means 4000rpm at 100kph.........which is a little frantic for motorway cruising

What the biggest tire is that fits into a particular weel well is not only a geometrical issue, but at least here in Germany also a legal issue. In Germany you can't simply put on just any tire. You'll have to get approvement by a technical inspection engineer, and that's not quite easy. So I really can't answer your question. Sorry.
